Elyria Friends

WELCOME TO ELYRIA FRIENDS!

Join this new work in Lorain County as we form an authentic community loving people to life in Jesus Christ. Find the opportunities for worship, growth, support and service you’ve been looking for!

Sunday worship gathers at 11 am, with Kids’ Church and childcare for 6th grade and under during the service. Linger afterward to enjoy coffee, snacks and fellowship.

As a campus of North Olmsted Friends, we’re supported by the staff and programs of the entire church. David Hoovler serves as our campus pastor.

 WORSHIP

Watch recent sermons on YouTube

Our Sunday worship services usually last a little more than an hour. We join together in prayer and live music—from contemporary songs you hear on Christian radio to classic hymns of the faith. It’s our goal to offer heartfelt worship to God, not to watch a performance.

Sermons emphasize Biblical teaching to help us grow in our walk with God, wherever you are on your journey. Usually the message is shared on-site by Pastor David, though occasionally by other staff, including by video from the North Olmsted campus. Recent sermons can be found on YouTube.

FELLOWSHIP & GROWTH

Enjoy life together! Gather to encourage and challenge one another in our walk with Jesus. Join in Bible study and prayer for one another at 9:30 am Sundays. Break bread with friends at a potluck or picnic, and join our Thursday evening Growth Group for Bible study and support.

Opportunities for children include Kids’ Worship Arts at 9:30 am Sundays and Kids’ Church at 11, as well as nursery and preschool programs.

We also benefit from the resources available to us as one church in two locations. Join activities for all ages at both of our campuses—from special events to regular classes and fellowship gatherings.

SERVICE

We want to serve our community and connect to God’s work around the world. Our church partners with LoveINC Lorain County, and we’re running a warming drive this winter to help our neighbors close to home.

We have also been part of Elyria’s Third Thursdays, the Apple Festival and the Festival of Lights on Ely Square.

We’re an annual collection site for the Wheels for the World program, gathering wheelchairs and other mobility devices for those with special physical needs overseas.
This fall our campus packed 300 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, sharing God’s love and the Good News with children in many nations.
